Consultations
Your consultation with Dr. Waslen is private time set aside for you to discuss all of your concerns and questions, directly, about any treatment you may be considering. No surgery should be taken lightly. To ensure you are comfortable and safe before, during, and after surgical treatment, Dr. Waslen requires one-to-one consultations with each patient so that both of you are confident in your decisions, and that he can confirm the treatment and care that is most appropriate for you. Your consultation is designed to fully inform you of the procedure that you are considering, and to discuss any other available options or considerations that may apply for your best outcomes.
Consultation time is designed to make sure that you have the opportunity to ask all of the questions you may have, and to provide additional learning so that you can make a fully informed decision for your best care. It is a good idea to prepare for your consultation, writing down any concerns or uncertainties that you may have before your appointment, so that nothing is missed during your meeting. You will also be given the opportunity to view photographs of past patients who have had the surgery you are considering. This is one tool to give you a good idea of what surgical outcomes you can realistically expect. Through the use of photography and specialized computer resources, our unique digital imaging tool allows you to actually preview achievable surgical results with Dr. Waslen before any surgery takes place. For more information on digital imaging please see link below.
As an expert medical doctor and surgeon, Dr. Waslen will not recommend, or undertake, any surgery if he is not completely confident it will achieve the results you would like, or if there is a clinical reason why it would not be appropriate for you.
There is a charge for consultations at our office. To book your appointment, or for any other information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
